An amazing weekend was kicked off by a trip to the Cove Bar on Friday night. Secret drinks and famous lobster nachos to get things going.
The views at the Cove Bar are amazing. The bright lights from Paradise Pier and the calmness of the bay. It’s a beautiful way to spend and evening with friends.
Oh and by the way, look how awesome the Cove Bar interiors look. They did everything right here if you ask me. I love the references to the Paradise Pier attractions and the subtle humor. This place is wonderful.
Back in the parks Saturday morning for our Easter Egg hunt.
Our hunting led us to this fantastic discovery. The path to the lower level of the Hungry Bear is now open! Previously, we had to go through the temporary path via Winnie the Pooh.
Lunch time, and that means Food and Wine Festival again at DCA. We sampled the bloody mary, beer cheese soup in a breadbowl, bacon mac and cheese, and the Cioppino soup with shrimp and crab claw. EVERYTHING was great.
After our Food tasting, we stopped to see the sound test for the Phat Cat Swingers. Turns out they’re fans of the show! We got to hang out with them a bit and get some fun photos!
Finished our day with some shopping at Julius Katz and Sons. I’m such a nerd for coffee mugs. Found these amazing beauties, and wound up buying the Baymax one.
And that is a look at our trip to the parks through pictures for the week of April 1st, 2017. We do hope enjoyed and hope to you see you again next week. Fresh Baked!!
